Web Search on the site is carried out by a nickname of a dog (or kennel), by surnames of the owner, by the breeder and by the Russian Stud Book number . The nickname of each dog is accompanied by a surname of the owner or Russian Breed Book number.

The surname of the owner is underlined because many nicknames repeat. A number by the name means that the dog has a diploma and is mentioned in the Russian breed book (RPKOS). Before 1917 dogs were traditionally registered under the breeder"s surname (occasionally the owner"s) which is specified in brackets. Modern fleets are specified with a surname of the owner without brackets.

" at the end of a word softens last letter (Les", Zver ").

The names of the colors will seem unusual. These are original names, same as the breed name, they come from the colors of hunting dogs.

Polovy - begins with colour of cream and reaches red.

Burmatny - wool as though covered with dust.

Chubary - like a tiger.

Masurina - a red color with a black muzzle, it is frequent at the ends of ears and feet.

Murugiy - red or dark red gradually makes the way to black.

Zagrivina - a white mark round a neck fleet.

Belogoristy - a white breast and the bottom part of a neck.
